Gunstock Retired

It is with great sadness that we announce the retirement of our beloved flagbearer Gunstock.

After pulling up sore yet again from his latest race start, our team along with the Price Kent Racing team mutually agreed that the best decision for Gunstock's well-being is to retire him from racing. Although Gunstock won’t be able to realise his full potential, we are very grateful for the good times he was able to give us.

His short racing career consisted of 9 starts, 4 wins (2 at Group 3 level), 2 placings, $376,685 in earnings.

Thank you to Mick, Michael and all the team at Price Kent Racing for taking such good care of him. And thank you to everyone else who had the pleasure of working with him both on and off the track.

Thank you to all his wonderful owners who have been ever so patient and caring with him over the last couple of years, always putting his well-being first.

And lastly, thank you to Gunstock for giving us this incredible journey and for always trying your heart out. Enjoy your well-earned retirement!

A couple of quotes from his trainers to us will always resonate: Mick Price - “He has group 1 ability but not group 1 soundness”. Michael Kent Jnr - “I hate to think how good he could have been”.
