It was great to be able to get back over to Karaka in New Zealand to purchase a ready to run horse. The New Zealand Bloodstock Ready To Run sale is a sale that has produced a lot of champions over the years and we certainly hope that we have found the next one. I love buying horses from New Zealand, they are very well grown there on their green pastures. They have good bone, good constitution and there is no surprise why they have success. This Gelding has shown our team exactly what we are looking for in a great miler. By the British Stallion Iffraaj, this gelding is looking to have similar success to other Iffraaj progeny such as G1 winners on Australian turf JON SNOW, JUNGLE CAT and WESTERN EMPIRE. His latest G1 son My Prospero is rated 129 by Timeform – the best three-year-old in Europe after Vadeni.
Iffraaj (GB) x Our Kismet (NZ) was hand selected by Ciaron Maher, David Eustace and Import Racing's David Mourad at the New Zealand Bloodstock Ready To Run sale in Karaka.
He ran a super fast 10.35 over the 200m breeze up on a soft 5, which was well under the 10.76 second average of the sale. He did this with ease and could have done an even greater time if asked.
David and Ciaron Maher believe that this gelding has the stamina along with the turn of foot to excel at a mile distance and potentially beyond.
Leading trainers Ciaron Maher and David Eustace will train this horse from their multiple Group 1 winning stables. Their facilities are one of, if not the best in Australia and the stable is absolutely flying. With the Ciaron Maher Racing team recently winning the Melbourne Cup, this cracking gelding will have no better chance at his career on the track than with them.

Iffraaj (GB) x Our Kismet (NZ) passed all vet inspections as LOW RISK. Clean x-rays, grade 2 scope, and clinically he is sound and in perfect health.
His pedigree and conformation suggest that he may make a 2yo, but he is definitely one that will continue to improve with time and will make a lovely 3yo+ miler.

THE COST
The share price is $3,125 per 2.5% or $6,250 for 5% or $12,500 for 10%. The share price includes purchase price plus GST, All sales expenses paid including flights, spelling etc. to the end of the year and pre-training for the month of January. Expenses paid up to 31st January 2023, owners take over 1st February 2023. The syndication value for the gelding is $125,000.
The average monthly cost for a 2.5% share is $162, 5% is $247 and 10% is $417. All monthly supplier invoices are consolidated into one simple and easy bill for you to pay each month.
